Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, also known as the Vembanad Bird Sanctuary, is a popular bird sanctuary located in Kumarakom, a village in the Kottayam district of Kerala, India. Situated on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, it is spread across 14 acres and is a haven for both local and migratory birds.
The sanctuary was established in 1991 and is home to a diverse range of bird species.
