Lovely place to spend 2-3 hours easily. Walk around the place, stroll to the beach area downstairs & enjoy some refreshments in the local shops. Beach covers three sides of the fort & each view is different. 🤩 Online tickets can be booked (or code owner ticket counter).

Bekal Fort is a must-visit gem in Kasargod! The old colonial-style fort is beautifully constructed, and walking through its massive walls gives a glimpse of history and architecture that has stood strong for centuries. The fort itself is well maintained and offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. Right next to it is Bekal Beach, which is clean, lively, and very happening. Rich in history, it stands as one of the largest and best-maintained forts in Kerala, managed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Parking is available, and there’s a small market outside selling local food and products. The fort area is scenic, and a walk around can be quite refreshing.
